Not to be missed: the Bardini collection of rare 15th and 16th century oriental carpets

A curiosity: The Bardini is, among other things, the new home of Florence’s symbol par excellence – the Porcellino by Pietro Tacca. A copy of the boar stands in the market on via Por Santa Maria and visitors rub its bronze nose in the hope this means they’ll return to Florence, or throw coins at it for luck.
