PSP in Concerto, Viper Theatre 23 November 2009

The PSP (Simon Phillips, Philippe Saisse and Pino Palladino) European Tour 2009 will include an engagement at the Viper Theatre in Florence.

PSP is one of those blends of music and synergies that defies classification. These three, extraordinarily talented musicians have virtually traveled through the world and every type of music. Over the past thirty years they have played with the cream of the pop music scene – the Rolling Stones, The Who, , Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck,  Toto, David Bowie, John Mayer, Chaka Khan and Paul Simon, just to name a few from a list that would be too long to publish.

The PSP trio includes a frenetic Englishman, an intense Frenchman and a quiet Welshman who answer to the names Simon Phillips – on the drums, Philippe Saisse – piano and keyboard and Pino Palladino – bass. The three have known each other since the beginnings of their respective careers, but they have rarely worked together and never have all three performed on the same stage at the same time. Then, after increasingly frequent collaborative efforts, on the occasion of a concert in Osaka, Japan in January 2009 they official founded PSP – with fantastic results and reviews.
