Caravaggio e Caravaggeschi a Firenze
The Galleria degli Uffizi and the Galleria Palatina, two of the major museums of the Polo Museale Fiorentino, will be hosting the exhibition entitled Caravaggio e caravaggeschi a Firenze as part of the tribute to Caravaggio on the four hundredth anniversary of his death.
The exhibition will be open from 22 May to 10 October 2010.
With the many Caravaggio paintings in Florence, and thanks to generous loans, over 100 famous and less famous works will be shown offering a critical overview that differs from previous exhibitions. Findings from new studies will shed light on many aspects of his work, including new attributions.
