An Aperitivo Tour in Florence

For those who would like to really get into the Italian lifestyle, they should get used to aperitivo, also named pre-dinner. Normally aperitivo time is between 6 pm – 9 pm, a drink, or two including snacks or small appetizers.

In Florence there is something for everyone and all tastes, where all restaurants and bars have their own touch and thoughts about aperitivo.

Situated just at the Ponte Vecchio the hotel Continentale, offers a silent moment with a stunning view, the perfect aperotivo sight over the medieval roofs of Florence. The perfect close up after a long day.

Walking towards the center, the surroundings of piazza Republica offer various of aperitivos. For those who would like to enjoy the evening sun in the late hours but without climbing the hills at piazza Michelangelo, should take the elevator up to the top floor in La Rinascente, where their aperitivo offers a beautiful view over the city, right in the center.

In the middle of the Center, right between Duomo and Piazza Republica you will find the wine bar La Congrega. Hidden between big walls, its outdoor seating is illuminated with candles and it offers a cosy atmosphere for an aperitivo including everything from pan pizza to cookies.

For those who would like to try a real Tuscany glass of wine with typical local appetizers should go to the main road Via Tournaboni to the bar Pocacci. Where Chianti Wine and Tuscany appetizers are the perfect start for an evening with taste and if there is something special you like they have its on shop with delicates from the origin.

Walking over the bridge to the Piazza San Niccolo the bar Zoe. There you discover good snacks with tasty drinks. With live bands on Wednesdays their aperitivo is a truly great reference point. Starting at 7.30pm, it is a good start for those who want to be cheered up after a day with studying.

A walk towards the wine bar and restaurant Torre 69 is worth the work. With the stunning interior design, the restaurant offers an aperitivo in glamorous atmosphere. Either you just want to enjoy a drink or continue with dinner after; the restaurant never makes its guest disappointed.
