ICE SKATING IN FLORENCE

Winter is here and it’s time for hot chocolate, cozy sweaters, and, of course, ice skating! Come skate against the enchanting backdrop of historic Florence, as beginning on November 26, there will be an ice skating rink at the Parterre, near Piazza della Libertà. The large rink will hold up to 200 skaters and for those of you who forgot your ice skates at home, you can rent them for 6 euros. And if you’re looking for a New Year’s Eve activity, there will be a special party at the rink on the night of December 31. Opening hours are every day from 10 am to 11:30 pm, and open late in the night until 1 am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The rink will be set up until January 8, 2012.
