Neo Metaphysics: Giorgio de Chirico and Andy Warhol
| January 14th, 2012 10:00 AM | to | February 18th, 2012 7:30 PM |
Two of the greatest artists from the twentieth century come face to face at the recently opened exhibit of the Frediano Farsetti Gallery on Lungarno Guicciardini, 21-23r. Neo Metaphysics features approximately 30 works by the two masters, including paintings, drawings and sculptures. De Chirico and Warhol met in New York City in 1974 at a reception for the Italian ambassador, resulting in a confrontation between metaphysical art and pop art.
The exhibit is open every day from 10 am to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm (closed all day Sunday and on Monday morning).
Entrance is free.
