A walk through the Vasari Corridor of the Uffizi is one experience that you must have before leaving Florence. Created by Vasari in 1565, the Corridor was used by the Medici Grand Dukes as a private passageway that connected their residences at the Pitti Palace to their government offices in the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi. Nowadays, the Corridor houses the world’s largest collection of self-portraits, with works ranging from the Renaissance to today. Until April 27, 2012, there will be 8 visits per week, two on Tuesday and Thursday; two on Wednesday and two on Friday.

The visits, only in Italian, will be in the form of organized guided tours in groups of a limited size, therefore, reservations are required and each reservation cannot exceed a maximum of five people.

Tickets for the tour cost 10.50 euros.

To make reservations, call 055294883.
