Il sole sui tetti. Lights and Shadows by Felice Limosani

January 9th, 2012 5:00 PMtoJanuary 15th, 2012 8:00 PM

Until January 15, Florence will host two different installations that hold a dialogue with Palazzo Strozzi and the city. One installation is an “on site” event, which uses video mapping to show the alternation of light and shadow in the courtyard of the Palazzo Strozzi. Meanwhile, the other installation is an “on air” event, with the projection of rays of light that symbolically unite the towers and the domes of some of the most beautiful piazzas of Florence; departing from the Forte Belvedere, the rays of white light will connect various points of the city, such as the bell tower of the Basilica of Santa Croce, the tower of Palazzo Vecchio, and Giotto’s bell tower in the Piazza del Duomo.

This evocative and spectacular event in the heart of the city will take place every day from sunset to 8 pm, while on Thursday it will go as late as 11 pm.
