Walking and Jogging in Florence

Wake up your body and mind with six diverse routes that take you through the city’s historic monuments and green spaces. The Comune of Florence now offers the initiative Florence: The Walking City, with which you can access maps and guides to planned paths that are marked with numbered and colored indications. Offering something for everyone, the paths range from easy to difficult, and run between some of the most beautiful and  scenic sites of the city, such as Piazzale Michelangelo, the Cascine Park, and the Medici villas. All routes depart from and return to the sports complex of A.S.S.I. Giglio Rosso (http://www.assigigliorosso.it), located on Viale Michelangelo, 64, near Piazzale Michelangelo. To receive maps and for more information about the routes, it is best to go directly to A.S.S.I. or you can find some of the maps online at http://sportinforma.comune.fi.it/theWalkingCity.html
