A New Flight to Solaris

The Franco Zeffirelli Foundation hosts in its majestic late Baroque oratory twenty-two screens assembled to evoke the space station of the science fiction cult movie Solaris by the great director Andrej Tarkovskij, one of the many personalities fallen in love with Florence. While the displays show scenes from Tarkovskij’s movies, all around thirty-two paintings and two sculptures of Soviet underground artists his contemporaries, from the 60s to the 80s.
