Ubaldo ScanagattaA former Italian university tennis champion, Ubaldo Scanagatta has been a professional journalist since 1977. During his career he has worked for newspapers and magazines (ON/La Nazione, Corriere della Sera, Oggi, Panorama), television (Media-Set, Tele+, Sky), radio (RAI, RDS) and the internet (www.ubitennis.com ), and has written twelve books. He has covered news, politics, lifestyle and sports, and published reports on the war in Myanmar, the Irpinia earthquake and has interviewed nearly everyone, from sports champions to star entertainers. He has written over 9,000 articles and covered four Olympiads, three America’s Cup races, world swimming championships and 116 Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments. Former president of the European tennis journalists, Federtennis – the Italian Tennis Federation – named him journalist of the year for 2008.
